As an organization that helps animals, it is only natural that we also help people. Right now we see a need greater than just helping animals with cancer. To be honest, it is something that has been in my plans for over a year, but I just needed a little push.

In the past few weeks, we have been working behind-the-scenes to help during this time of despair for many. With overflowing shelters, it is so important to help animals to stay with their families. We would like to introduce you to Roo's Kindness Cupboard, a Pet Pantry. SNAP benefits only include food for humans and we are aware that people may need funds for their pets while filling their own grocery needs. We are here to help bridge that gap.

Most websites we looked at for other pantries are on hold for applicants because they are overwhelmed. We want to help. Thank you to our board for pushing us to this new program. We have already received a donation, but would love to fill more cupboards. Of course, we will still help animals with cancer. That part of our mission will never change and these funds are totally separate. If you know someone that could use some help right now, please send them our way.
